Fans from Wales fill the town centre
Warm and windy weather in the early afternoon hours was already the reason why the many fans who had travelled from Wales filled the streets of Vaduz and celebrated a peaceful gathering ahead of the international match. Hotspots for the red-clad fans were the town hall square with the ice rink and the courtyard by the Zwei Bar.
Belgium only draw against Kazakhstan
At 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, Kazakhstan and Belgium met in the other match of qualifying group J. At halftime, the hosts in Astana were surprisingly 1–0 ahead and ultimately secured a 1–1 draw. This makes the race for World Cup qualification even more exciting.
Wales coach Bellamy suspended
Craig Bellamy, the manager of the Welsh national team, is suspended for today’s international match and will therefore not be on the sidelines. Nevertheless, he is in the stadium, but will have to watch the game from a position where he cannot have any influence on what happens on the pitch. He will be represented today by Pieter Cremers.
