Debüt von Joy Steck
Bereits seit 2017 trägt Joy Steck die Farben des FC Aarau. In der Women's Super League kam die 22-Jährige in der laufenden Saison bisher praktisch in jedem Spiel zum Einsatz. Für Liechtenstein stand Joy Steck hingegen noch nie auf dem Platz, hat sie doch erst vor kurzem die Staatsbürgerschaft ihres Vaters angenommen und ist damit neu für Liechtenstein spielberechtigt und von Nationaltrainerin Adrienne Krysl direkt in das Kader aufgenommen worden. Dort hat die Stürmerin des FC Aarau einen starken Eindruck hinterlassen, so dass sie gegen Litauen in der Startaufstellung steht.
Three premieres at once for Liechtenstein
For Liechtenstein’s women’s national team, today marks three premieres at once. Firstly, the women are playing in a World Cup qualification match for the first time. Secondly, Lithuania is an opponent that Adrienne Krysl’s team will also be facing for the first time. And thirdly, it is the first time that the Liechtenstein women will take to the field at the Rheinpark Stadion.
